Prayer for Peace in Spiritual Warfare

Dear Lord,

Thank You for the peace I find WITH You and OF YOU. Thank You that my confidence is in You and my trust of You will not be shaken. Forgive me for those times I get overwhelmed and begin to trust my thoughts more than Your word and help me refocus. Lord, whenever I feel that overwhelming sense of unrest or distress, help me recognize the enemies presence and not be crippled by it. Let always that peace beyond comprehension rise. I can detect it, measure it, and I can stand fast with spirit infused confidence and stability.

Thank You for that peace that anchors my soul, tethering it to Your gospel. Help me God focus on relationships with others as a soldier of Your peace. Only you God can bridge the gaps and divides and bring healing and restoration. This unity will put Satan in his place. Dealing with people in a way that is healthy and promotes peace requires a supernatural endowment that can only come from You God. Not only help me walk in peace but please help me pursue peace with others.

Peace with You is the Gospel and its forgiving graces that bridge that gap between me, a wretched sinner, and You the Holy Creator, thanks to the blood of Your Son. This leaves me with in-explainable peace as a gift, the peace of God. Help me keep it activated as I pray, asking humbly, and full of thanksgiving for all my blessings. Help me choose this thankful prayer over wallowing in anxiety and worry, this will demonstrate how I trust You.  Help me concentrate on You and not my worry.

Thank You for responding by enacting peace in my heart, thus activating my faith. This, God, is how I will understand which direction you are leading me. I will pray, trust you, and be grateful. Help me carry the message of peace everywhere I go. “Our God Reigns”!

Help me always be alert and ready to declare peace to anyone, even those who aren’t peaceable. Help me to stand firm not only defensively but also offensively. Help build my confidence in what I know so I can receive this peace and also give it and experience it! Please Lord break the tether of the enemies strongholds of fear, worry, and guilt and propel me forward with the peace of God so we will have victory.

In Jesus Name!
AMEN

“Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him.” Colossians 2:6

“and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;” Ephesians 6:15

“How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who proclaim peace, who brings glad tidings of good things who proclaims salvation, who says to Zion, “Your God reigns!” Isaiah 52:7

Ephesians 6:10-20 is so critical to any daily walk. Priscilla Shirer’s, The Armor of God, Bible study is awesome and can bring a lot of growth in our spiritual warfare! This was my fourth prayer strategy I developed after week four in that study on the shoes of peace.

I believe in the God of the Bible and that Jesus is His Son who died on the cross at Calvary for the sins of the world. This free gift is for you and for me, if we accept that fact by faith and strive daily to follow His Living Word that is the same today, yesterday, and forever. Also, for the record, I love my boyfriend whom I have been married to for going on 18 years. We have two boys that are both in high school, which is taught at home by yours truly. Cats, dogs, chickens, ducks, goats, turkeys, squirrels, chipmunks, peacocks, song birds, coyotes, raccoons, opossums, all call our yard home and I have a story about all of them. I am originally from Kentucky, with deep roots in Eastern Kentucky's Appalachian Mountains. I grew up in a working class suburb of Lexington, Kentucky. I am married to a quiet feller from Birmingham, Alabama. We met in Tampa, FL, married, had two kids and moved to California. From there we landed in Alabama for a few years and then by the providence of God we moved to our little piece of heaven in Georgia where we live in a white house, on a little hill, in the rocky foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. I have some things I think I might want to write that maybe someone might want to read... mostly stories and experiences of my own and a few I can relay from second hand knowledge but none with great confidence, pride, or true story telling ability, just overthought ramblings that I quickly need to capture before I forget.
