Prayer for Power in Spiritual Warfare

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for your gift of understanding given through Your Holy Spirit that dwells in me. Forgive me for my doubts and strengthen my resolve to rely on You. Let the eyes of my understanding be enlightened that I may know the HOPE of Your Calling, Your Inheritance, Your Power, and Your Dominion in my life and also those around me. For this I bow my head and heart and ask to be empowered through Your Spirit for the battles that surround me and that I may have the greatest of confidence in Christ Jesus who dwells in my heart and mind so I can draw courage from the Love He has for me. Because of these things and what Your Word tells me, I know the enemy is not powerful, he can not read my mind. Only You God are omnipresent, omniscient, and can work miracles. Only You God are eternal. I am already seated in heavenly places with You because of my relationship with Jesus. The place to my spiritual battle is accessible, my weapons are physical, and my victory is absolutely guaranteed. I have every spiritual blessing in high places. I will put on my defenses, the armor You gave to me God: Truth, Righteousness, Peace, Faith, Salvation, and Prayer. I am equipped and I will use these tools to stand firm.

In Jesus Name, Amen.

Study Ephesians 6:10-20. A good resource is Pricilla Shirer’s, The Armor of God, Bible study. This was my first prayer strategy I was able to develop after week one. It is a valuable lesson and tool we, as Christians, need.

I believe in the God of the Bible and that Jesus is His Son who died on the cross at Calvary for the sins of the world. This free gift is for you and for me, if we accept that fact by faith and strive daily to follow His Living Word that is the same today, yesterday, and forever. Also, for the record, I love my boyfriend whom I have been married to for going on 18 years. We have two boys that are both in high school, which is taught at home by yours truly. Cats, dogs, chickens, ducks, goats, turkeys, squirrels, chipmunks, peacocks, song birds, coyotes, raccoons, opossums, all call our yard home and I have a story about all of them. I am originally from Kentucky, with deep roots in Eastern Kentucky's Appalachian Mountains. I grew up in a working class suburb of Lexington, Kentucky. I am married to a quiet feller from Birmingham, Alabama. We met in Tampa, FL, married, had two kids and moved to California. From there we landed in Alabama for a few years and then by the providence of God we moved to our little piece of heaven in Georgia where we live in a white house, on a little hill, in the rocky foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. I have some things I think I might want to write that maybe someone might want to read... mostly stories and experiences of my own and a few I can relay from second hand knowledge but none with great confidence, pride, or true story telling ability, just overthought ramblings that I quickly need to capture before I forget.
